Introducing Virethia: many worlds, one virtual republic

Community · VR & beyond

Meet The Virtual Republic of Virethia: an adult community taking shape across headsets, games, languages and continents. Here is what the website is for, what you will find in its Discord, and how to get involved.

Many worlds. One republic.

VR can introduce you to people you would never have met otherwise. You might find someone through a game, talk for an evening, then wonder how to meet again when you move to another application. I want Virethia to give those connections somewhere to continue.

My own VR life is based around Meta Quest. Virethia’s idea is broader: a shared community for people using different devices, and for people who are still curious about VR. You should be able to find your people without everyone owning the same headset.

What is Virethia?

The Virtual Republic of Virethia is a social community for adults aged 18 and over, bringing together people across VR, mobile, desktop and everyday life. The website describes its purpose through three things: belonging, discovery and collaboration.

The name is pronounced vih-REETH-ee-ah. It brings together the feeling of virtual, realm and ethos: a place with its own identity and shared spirit. The name gives the community room to grow beyond Meta or any one platform.

Founding stageThe website is gathering citizen interest while the community takes shape.

The republic, citizens and embassies are part of the community’s identity and organisation. Registering interest is a step towards participating in this online community.

The website and Discord do different jobs

Virethia.org introduces the founding vision, the five continental embassy headquarters and the founding registry. You can register citizen interest there or make a general inquiry about a partnership, an embassy or another community role.

The registry asks how you want to be addressed, how you connect, your broad region and what you would like to find in Virethia. Its listed access options include Meta Quest, PCVR, Pico, PlayStation VR, mobile, desktop and VR-curious. It also lists founding updates and future interviews as part of the process.

Discord is the conversation space. Its channels give the community places to introduce themselves, talk about equipment, find a group, exchange languages and share ideas. Joining Discord and registering interest on the website are separate steps; use both links if you want to take part in both.

A guide to the Discord’s community areas

The server is organised into themed areas. Here is a practical guide to the channels shown in the current layout, so your first visit feels less like a wall of unfamiliar names.

🏛️ Capital District

Start here to understand the republic and introduce yourself. Read the constitution and announcements, explore citizen registration and choose the roles that fit your interests.

Look for: constitution, national-announcements, explore-virethia, citizen-registration, choose-your-roles, introductions, citizen-help, report-an-issue and citizens-lounge.

🌐 Gateway Haven

Find discussions around your device or the way you connect. There is also a place for people who do not own a headset yet, alongside equipment and guide discussions.

Look for: pcvr, meta-quest, pico, playstation-vr, mobile-and-desktop, vr-curious, equipment and accessories, guides-and-support and gateway-lounge.

🎮 The Arcade

Talk about games, suggest a shared session or look for other players. For a group request, include the game, device, time zone and whether you are learning or already experienced.

Look for: cross-platform-games, find-a-group, community-game-nights, apps-and-tools and game-discussions.

🌌 VRChat City

A dedicated area for the VRChat side of the community. If avatars, social worlds or exploring with other people interest you, this is an area to explore when you enter the server.

Check the visible channels inside the category for its current conversations and joining details.

🌍 Virtual Embassy Headquarters

Connect through a broad regional area. The five headquarters give people a way to find conversations closer to their region and work out times to meet across continents.

Look for: americas-hq, asia-hq, europe-hq, oceania-hq and africa-hq.

🗣️ Language Commons

Find conversation partners, share what you are learning or ask for help understanding a phrase. When introducing yourself, mention the languages you speak and the one you want to practise.

Look for: language-learning, conversation-partners, translation-help and language-exchange.

🛟 Help & Support

Ask a question, browse how-to discussions or share something useful you have learned. A clear description of the device, app and problem makes it easier for another person to help.

Look for: how-tos, ask-for-help and live-support.

🤝 Community Commons

The everyday social side: conversations, media, off-topic chat and places to hang out. There is also a connections-and-dating channel within this adult community. Respect each person’s boundaries and the server rules.

Look for: connections-and-dating, community-chat, memes-and-media, off-topic, community-lounge and community-voice.

A community across platforms

Platform-inclusive means the community welcomes people who connect in different ways. A Meta Quest user can talk to a PCVR player, a mobile visitor or someone deciding whether to buy their first headset. It does not mean every game works on every device.

Before organising a session, check the application’s supported platforms and how people join. A useful invitation says which game or world you will use, when the session starts, whether voice chat is involved and what participants need. That small amount of detail makes a shared activity much easier to arrange.

Regional headquarters and Language Commons can help those conversations cross time zones and languages. I am based in Europe; the republic’s wider structure also includes the Americas, Africa, Asia and Oceania.

💡 A simple introduction

Questions before you join

Do I need a Meta Quest to join?

No. The website includes several headset platforms, mobile, desktop and VR-curious visitors. Individual games and worlds may have their own device requirements.

Is Virethia for adults?

Yes. Virethia.org identifies it as an 18+ community, and the founding registry asks applicants to confirm they are 18 or older.

Does joining Discord register me on the website?

They are separate destinations. Join Discord to enter the conversation space, and use the website’s founding registry to submit citizen interest or an inquiry.

Where should I ask for help?

Use citizen-help for getting started with the community, or Help & Support for questions and how-to discussions. Use report-an-issue when a problem concerns the server or its members.

Can I propose a game night or collaboration?

The Arcade includes find-a-group and community-game-nights. Share the app, activity and suggested time clearly. For a collaboration with me specifically, use Create with me.

Join the conversation

Virethia is still taking shape. If you want a community that can follow you between virtual worlds, take a look at its vision and come introduce yourself. Start with the part that interests you most, whether that is a game, a language, a headset question or a creative idea.

Want a closer look first? Explore the Virethia community page, learn more about aHumaann, or browse my Meta Quest app library for session ideas.

Source note: The founding vision and registration details were checked on Virethia.org on 3 October 2026. The Discord directory reflects the server layout shared for this introduction. Channels and founding arrangements may develop as the community grows.
